Donations are always welcomed. At present, we currently fundraise through our network of benefactors who are able to donate significant sums of funds to cover the cost of an entire program or major components of a program. On average, current donors donate at least $40,000 to ensure the ongoing viability of our programs.
Medication Assistance Association is awaiting approval to be a DGR endorsed charity. Once the DGR endorsement has been obtained, we will launch a more community based fundraising campaigns asking for general donations from the public.
Leaving a bequest to Medication Assistance Association means that you have the use of your f unds or property during your lifetime, & leave part or all of your money or property to Medication Assistance Association after your death . You may choose to leave a particular asset or a specified sum of money to Medication Assistance Association, or you can leave a percentage of your total estate , or a percentage of the residue of y our estate , which means that you can ensure family & friends are provided for as well as benefiting Medication Assistance Association.
You may choose to leave your bequest freely - "no strings attached" - so that the Medication Assistance Association can apply the money to the area of most need. It is also possible to leave a bequest with a specification that it is used for a particular purpose. This is one example of a suggested wording for a bequest to Medication Assistance Association, but it is only a suggestion. Your solicitor will also be able to assist you in this regard.
"I bequeath to Medication Assistance Association for its general purposes [(the whole) or (a specific amount or gift) or (a percentage) or (the residue)] of my estate free of all duties , and I declare that the receipt of its treasurer or other authorised officer shall be sufficient discharge to my executor.”
